Both are illustrious representatives of a so-called "things build to last" age. Both had appeared in the 30's, and for what is worth, both are of German making. As I own and run a vintage fountain pen repair shop, I often have the opportunity to dismantle and repair old pens, many of them made in the inter-war period. And let me say that the majority of these pens are showing the same care and ingenious design, seen in Minox cameras.

I do not idealize and I do recognize the faults of the era I am talking about. has to agree that in those times, things were much more simpler, more client-oriented and many of them products were made with a long life in mind.
