They are the “make or break” tool when it comes to shooting film in you Minox cameras. Although made in their thousands (or more), the 8×11 plastic film cassettes are no longer in production, as far as I know. And because they are no longer manufactured, they are becoming scarce by day.
Those you have now are becoming brittle with age and usage, the felt becomes loose or hardened by chemicals, they crack very easy due to plastic getting old. This metal cassettes, produced by Jimmy Li, are a solution for those who still cut, reload and shoot their own film with Minox cameras. Not cheap, mind, but nonetheless a possible way to continue using your camera, as they do not break or damage in the long run.
