For those who are fans of the half frame format, there are a good number of cameras that shoot in that mode. The Olympus half frame series has many choices of such, of which the Pen EE-2 is but one.
An excellent lens, the Zuiko 28/3.5 (the equivalent of 40 mm in full frame), autofocus, two speeds 1/40 and 1/200, and a fixed viewfinder (this because the focus never change). ASA can be set from 25 to 400, quite enough choices for you to use a modern film.
The meter is a selenium one, around the lens; many cameras have the accuracy of the meter low due to cell decay. That said, also many can be found accurate enough for decent photography. There is a flash shoe and pc sync port, so this camera can take a flash unit if you are so inclined.
This camera is simplicity itself: load the film, set your ASA, and start shooting. As the focus is auto, you’ll be getting what the camera decides what to give you. Not much control over the results, which can be a blessing in disguise for many out there.
