The only 35mm film camera from Minox that I owned, ever. My interest with Minox lies solely with the 8×11 format camera range, and not with the 35mm one. However, when I was given this camera as a gift, I could not say no then, but I came to enjoy it with time. Shot quite a number of rolls through it, and I have nice memories with this little 35mm thing walking on the streets of Camden area, taking shots of the people and of the great market there.
Made by what appears to be sturdy plastic, it is a rather simple camera. The lens is a Minoxar-T 3.5/34, set in a auto-focusing housing, active when camera is turned on. It has a close-up setting, which locks the focus at 0.6m; otherwise, the distance is automatically measured. A CDS meter in front of the camera reads the light and it does so in auto mode. Aperture, set automatically upon half pressing the release button, goes from 3.5 to 16: I never knew the shutter speeds, but I would guess them to be between 1/30 to 1/500 of a second. I may be wrong here.
A small LCD screen is visible on the top side of the camera, and it displays the frame counter. Flash is automatic, and a ready light check is placed on the back. DX reader automatic, and can register film from 100 to 400 (or 800), if I remember this correctly. Rewinding of the film is done auto by the camera, when roll is finished.
This camera needs battery to operate, and it takes 1 x CR123A.
