Revue 4 (FED 4)

Revue 4 (FED 4)

By all intents and purposes, this is a FED 4 (model B), labelled as Revue 4. I am not going to explain again why it is called Revue 4, everyone knows why and how and such. Suffice to say that it is indeed a FED 4 (B) of Soviet manufacture. And yes, it’s sturdy and heavy as you and I expect to be, given the manufacturer.

Glass is a very good Industar 61, with 2.8/52mm, which delivers. Focusing is by rangefinder, from 1 meter to infinity. Shutter speeds from B to 1/500 of a second, apertures ranging from 2.8 to 16. The ASA selector ring is surrounded by the needle matching for the coupled meter.

As you can see, the lens is marked FED. The outer ring of the lens has been dented, my fault. A flash sync port (X only) is on the front plate, above the self release mechanism.
