I have visited a small rural place, a village called Varzaresti, located in the Western part of this tiny country. A place which is slowly dying. Anyone who has the slightest opportunity to leave is doing so, either emigrating or just going to work for better wages somewhere else. The country is undergoing terrible difficulties, both social and economic, and the current war haven’t done them any good either. But they have hope and have not resigned.
Every little reform is met with either angry or tired attitudes of these hard tried people, and who can blame them? Their history is one of pain and disappointment. I have written some more on this subject here, if you care to read.
I agree these here are not representative of anything, but I take every opportunity small or big to talk about this little country which was once part of the proud principality of Moldova. I believe they deserve every effort. of mine.
