In a recent trip to Sofia Bulgaria, while roaming the streets in the centre of the city, I have notice this shop, with a huge sign saying “We have film !”. I of course got a spring in my step and rushed in. And yes, they had film, which was great to see. Too long has been since the days I used to buy my film wherever I was in Europe; never carried more than 2 or 3 rolls when travelling. What was the point? I could’ve buy the stuff anywhere in any major city on the continent. Not to mention the old Jessops in the High Street everywhere in the UK. Yes, good times.
So I have bought these rolls here, the prices were quite lower than the current ones, where I shop usually (online, of course). I am glad mainly for the Portra 800, bought at almost half the price I find it elsewhere. Film is fresh, so I have enough time to decide where and when I’ll shoot this beautiful film.
