It happened while in Sofia Bulgaria, on a recent business trip. Snapping away with the LX, I suddenly noticed that I didn’t feel the camera cocking the shutter, and the viewfinder was obstructed. Looking at the lens, I noticed the shutter blade in all her beauty, so I immediately knew the camera is dead. Been there, done that several times in the last 25 yrs or so since I have been using these cameras. Never happened to a Minox LX but I had my fair share of IIIs, B and C’s.
This camera will join the package containing 4 or 5 others, to be sent to DAG. Looking for a lengthy time of some months until the cameras are repaired, but Don Goldberg has been servicing my cameras for the best part of the past 15-20 yrs, and I trust him to deliver back in like-new shape.
