I have purchased a few rolls of this film, believing it to be a good replacement for summer shots, in stead of APX 25. Since this brilliant film has vanished, I was (and still am) trying to find a good substitute for its velvety tones. Alas, none is good enough to take this film in my heart and cameras, but this doesn’t mean I am not looking still.
I have thrown a few developers at it, with “meh” results; sometimes grainy, sometimes too much contrast, sometimes downright crappy. And then, truly by trial and error, I came to the old ID11, which made this film a good challenger for the APX 25. Not there, but close enough.
