Me and my Minox cameras visited Würzburg in 2018, and as with all German old towns, I was taken by the scenery and old town architecture. Visitation of the Würzburg’s Festung Marienberg (Marienberg Fortress) is a must for anyone passing through the area, because the city below is something to be seen and admire. And the fortress itself is a very good place for photographs and also an object of study by the history buffs.
The sloping vineyards going downhill from the fortress are magnificent, and one cannot wonder on the ingenious systems which were developed to harvest the grapes. All in all, I had an excellent time visiting the town and the jewel on the hill overlooking it. Wonderful day!
